PLAN COMMISSION & ZONING BOARD OF
APPEALS
The Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals (known as the
Combined Board) consists of seven members appointed by the
President and Board of Trustees for five-year terms. The
Combined Board conducts public hearings on all rezonings,
special use permits, planned unit developments, zoning
variations, fence code variations and sign variations as
specified in Illinois Complied State Statutes and Carol Stream
Codes. Hearings are also held on such matters as corridor
reviews, zoning code text amendments and other matters upon
referral from the Village Board. Recommendations on all matters
are then forwarded to the Village Board for its action. The
Combined Board meets regularly on the second and fourth Mondays
of each month.
