The Carol Stream Police Department is proud to serve a diverse community comprised of residential areas, commercial retail locations, and a robust industrial park. Our agency prides itself on providing the best possible public service through proactive community-oriented policing. Carol Stream Police Officers are provided extensive, ongoing training that equips them with the tools and knowledge needed to appropriately address the needs of the community.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and less than 35 years of age on March 11, 2025 (posting date of final list) per State Statute. Exceptions listed in 65 ILCS 5/10 2.1-6 shall apply.
  • Uncorrected vision of at least 20/100 in each eye, correctable to 20/20 & good color vision. If vision is corrected to 20/20 both eyes together with soft contact lenses, there is no minimum uncorrected visual acuity requirement.
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Must attend a mandatory orientation/written examination on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 8:30am – No Exceptions Unless Required by Law.

Applications must be completed and received by December 22, 2024.
