    Denny Diamond & the Jewels Headline the Summer Concert Series Kick Off

    The Village will kick off its 2015 Summer Concert Series on Thursday, June 18th at 7pm when Denny Diamond and the Jewels, perform a 2-hour tribute to the music of Neil Diamond from the Gazebo Stage beginning at 7 pm.

    Chapter 9, Article 4 (Health Code - Trees) of the Carol Stream Village Code requires property owners to remove dead, diseased or infested (“nuisance”) trees located on private property. Village inspectors have resumed the process of identifying nuisance trees on private properties on a neighborhood-by-neighborhood basis, and will soon begin contacting property owners to advise them that nuisance trees must be removed. You may hire a tree removal contractor on your own; however, you may wish to consider joining together with your neighbors to hire a single contractor to remove a larger number of trees, which may allow you to achieve better pricing. Before hiring a tree removal contractor, we suggest that you obtain the following:

    The Illinois Metropolitan Investment Fund (IMET) is a local government investment pool created in 1996 to assist Illinois local governments (municipalities, park districts, school districts, libraries, pension funds etc.) with the investment of public funds.  The Village is one of nearly 300 local government entities that participate in IMET.

    Come enjoy the outdoors and make a difference in the quality of water in our community.  Volunteers are needed… feel free to organize your own group or you can participate in an existing group and join us on Saturday, May 20th, beginning at 9:00 a.m. to help remove trash and debris from our pond shorelines and stream banks.  Individual volunteers are also welcome!  Over the last seventeen years over 1,645 volunteers have participated in this annual clean up and have removed 48,890 pounds of trash with 218 miles cleaned – but each year there’s always more to clean!  Everyone is welcome!
