The Village invites residential homeowners to illuminate their front yards in festive fashion in preparation for the 5^th Annual Carol Stream Holiday Lights Decorating Contest. The Village challenges residents to go head-to-head in this fun neighborhood competition in anticipation of the upcoming Holiday season.  Themes for our Holiday Decorating contest are:

• BIG SNOWBALL (Classic Holiday Décor)

   

• FROSTY FAVORITE (Family Fun Décor)

   

• JUDGES FAVORITE (Best Overall)

Residents can nominate their favorite home(s) by e-mail at DecoratingContest@carolstream.org and must include the street address or addresses in the body and the phrase Holiday Decorating Contest included in the subject line. The deadline to forward nominations is Monday, December 16^th.  Judges will visit nominated properties through the 20^th and shortly thereafter make their award recommendations.  Residents can look for a Story Map on the Village website showcasing the nominated homes by December 16^th. Homeowners from winning holiday displays will be recognized at a Village Board meeting.
