Cybersecurity Resources
Do Your Part #BeCyberSmart
We're all responsible for a safe online experience. Below are some tips and resources to help foster cyber awareness.
Parent and Educators
Children are being exposed to technology increasingly each day and at even younger ages than before. Often these children also have a better understanding of how technology works than adults and parents. In order for children to be safe online and to make safe and smart choices with their technology, it requires the adults in their lives to remind them about practicing healthy cybersecurity hygiene and help them as they learn the advantages and disadvantages of technology and the Internet.
Young Professionals
As a young professional, you are more than likely accustomed to using the Internet in your everyday life, but the risks that come with that use could greatly impact you and your career. Making smart online decisions now can help you personally and professionally throughout your life.
Mobile Devices
Mobile devices enable Americans to get online wherever they are. Although mobile devices — from smart watches to phones and tables — can be extremely useful and convenient, there are also potential threats users may face with such technology. It’s important to understand how to protect yourself when connecting on the go.
Social Media
Now more than ever, consumers spend increasing amounts of time on the Internet. With every social Media account you sign up for, every picture you post, and status you update, you are sharing information about yourself with the world. How can you be proactive to stay safe online and, “Own IT. Secure IT. Protect IT.”? #BeCyberSmart and take these simple steps to connect with confidence and safely navigate the social media world.
