Overnight Parking

The Village of Carol Stream Ordinance #8-2-10 Prohibited Parking; Overnight, states that there is no overnight parking on the village streets between 2:00am - 5:00am.  The Police Department does provide an overnight parking courtesy to those residents that have special circumstances when parking on the street is necessary. 

Some instances where you need to park on the street would be driveway sealcoating or a house guest. If you need to park your vehicle overnight you must complete the overnight parking request form.

  • Requests must be received prior to the 2:00am cutoff.
  • Overnight parking is limited to three (3) nights per month.
  • Overnight parking will not be granted when there is two inches or more of snow fall.

Chapter 8 Traffic Code: 8-2-10 Prohibited Parking; Overnight
It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle on any street in the village between the hours of 2:00am and 5:00am of any day; except that, emergency vehicles and physicians on emergency calls are hereby exempt from these provisions.
