How to Detect and Resolve High Water Usage
Changes in water use and outdated or leaky toilets and fixtures are some of the most common reasons for unusual high water usage. According to the EPA, the average household leak can account for nearly 10,000 gallons of wasted water every year, and ten (10) percent of homes have leaks that waste over ninety (90) gallons per day!
To help our customers take control of their water usage and keep costs down, click the below image to download or print a pamphlet which covers how to read a water meter, the top reasons for a high water bill, and ways to resolve them.
If you are still experiencing high water usage even after making changes described in this pamphlet, please call Public Works at 630-871-6260 so we can help address your concerns.
